Flame and Citron

"Do you know who is coming? You go outside and look what have you been?"

This time together with the opening of the lines in black and white images of the Nazi invasion of Copenhagen immediately start in a setting from the Second World War, the fear, violence, and moral ambiguity.

Danish director Ole Christian Madsen makes a testimony of two Danish anti-fascist heroes in an exciting story and stylish and a beautiful femme fatale subplots in his last film of the flame and lemon.

Twenty-three years, Bent Faurschou-Hviid (Thure Lindhardt), called the flame, intrepidly murdered Danish traitors and high German officers. The objectives of the flames of the immediate supervisor, Aksel Winther, in turn, receives orders from London.

Famous for its unpredictable shots, the flame will soon see the man mostly by Karl-Heinz Hoffmann, the head of the Gestapo in Denmark.

Of the flame, 33-year-old Jørgen Haagen Schmith (Mads Mikkelsen), aka lemon, works as a driver, but it is not long before the father sensitively recognize the needs and firing rifles.

The plot revolves around the romance, when the flame is deeply drawn Ketty Selmer (Stine Stengade), a beautiful, courier, at the Subway. How is the relationship deeper, the risk to the flames of employment begins to rise.

It is clear that there is an informant in the strength and the accusations fly flamme loyalty, heart and head.

Beneath the surface, the film is an exploration of betrayal, courage, heroism, the disappointment, the weakness of the people and good and evil. Amid the tensions, and the injustice, the narrator continually flashes back issues and how the film footage of initiation. And these words begin orbiting in your head.

"Am I afraid of? Will I continue? What would I do if I'm in their place?"

The ever-so-often close to catch the complexity of the feelings of the individual characters, even if the permanent representation of the main characters cigarettes away in the middle of the voltage will be too distracting.

However, the flame of a scope and shocking presentation with a quick pace that allows you to breathe hard. The brutality of the Nazis and the courage of the Flame and Citron left a deep impression.

Even if a reflection and action-packed film is too good for the children, the lovers of farce games, or those who are too lazy to read the subtitles.
