Drag Me To Hell

It is still a bit hard to believe that the man who has taken the lead in the budget horror flick The Evil Dead is to support potentially the biggest blockbuster franchises of all time, but now that Sam Raimi has undoubtedly was himself a few times. He has a long way since the days of the filming of "8mm films as a child in Michigan, and yet the passion and dynamism, drive it, where it is today.

After Spider-Man 3 climbed into a huge animal, which ultimately beyond the control Raimi did not want to go back to the bulk of his next film. Drag Me To Hell will be his first horror film in more than 15 years, a bargain with a small casting for his product by his friend and collaborator Robert Tapert. But could it be in a position to revert to coarse, creativity and urgency of their first films, after so long in the big budget, or those things that are lost, in his time in Hollywood superstar?

Everyone was worried about the adoption of a new layer of Raimi will facilitate all their worries in the first minutes of the movie. We have become a curse Roma with a dramatic session was followed by a beautiful recording of loans for the full sequence of the old books and drawings at the Necronomicon from Evil Dead. From there, we reach with Christine Brown (Alison LOHMAN), a trustee for the funds in the race for promotion to the bank, which is forced to close to an old woman of the house. When the old woman capture an error and causes a scene, we quickly know she has the same curse Christine. A local fortune teller out that for three days, a demon to pursue and harass, and then it will be around in hell for eternity - unless they can break the curse first.

Although the story was definitely Drag Me To Hell shall like The Grudge (a suspicion reinforced by the fact that Raimi and Tapert Ghose House photos of the U.S. remake), it seems that there is not much influence in Asia, all here. The film is Raimi classic through and through, and it is so nice to see the style back to the screen back into the frame a bit of horror. There is no substitute for the kinetic energy and a bit cheesy, that it in your movie, but in any case it has to create the excitement and thrill over the years.

There is a feeling that Raimi is more fun anymore, it's been with us to play and a memorable scenes, such as the fight garage and house the various events. How gratifying that the film, it is also amazingly intense, and probably really frightening Raimi film until today. The use of shadows is so frightening and effective, and there is a constant feeling that something you jump at any time. The damage to music by Christopher Young, you're on the edge of your seat and never leave the place.

Alison Lohman, Nicolas Cage previously, the daughter in Matchstick Men, relies on a perfect performance here. It is soft and easy to sympathize with, but also for building up the physical requirements, with the main actor in a horror film Sam Raimi (something tells me that she and Bruce Campbell now have something more to bail). You will receive at the end of all kinds of tricks gross paid on his face, most of them seem to the practical implications. There were one or two bad beats digital effects (one of whom is apparently an homage to Looney Tunes goofy), but they are short and forgiveable. The film from PG-13 courses will be maintained, since it is not tons of blood and Gore, but there are many other raw cause discomfort.

If Drag Me To Hell is not so strange that Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, there are undoubtedly a lot of black humor in pulverized. Justin Long would have been a little odd choice for a film like this, but it works well in this minor comedy and also plays the role of friend support. The writing in this film is solid and good that the script is not 100% credible that all the spiritual values of Mumbo Jumbo in the discussion, but the main characters of depth and offers interesting secondary act play. For example, the scene where Clay Dinner Christine are the parents for the first time, is a brilliant blend of humor and excitement.

I can say that most fans of Sam Raimi will not be disappointed with Drag Me To Hell, but it is difficult to know how to react in general film freaks. It feels quite differently than many horror films, the cinemas in recent years, and the comedy, the tone suddenly some people scrub wrong. For me, that this class as one of the best films of the year until today, from planning another ideal in the summer blockbuster, and with a fine back in the form of Sam Raimi. Here's to hoping that Spider-Man 4, 5 o'clock-6 o'clock should not be kept away from the horrors of another 8 years!
