Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

It was eight long years since the first Harry Potter series was on the big screen, and although the hardcore fans are always so engaged as never before, it is difficult to say that this is also the magic and the admiration for the rest rest of us. There are not many other franchise (if any) which have too many slices in a short time, but as the race for Warner Brothers films before discarding about their characters, which are clearly meeting the exhaustion is the cause of their minds.

In fact, the formula of the type of stories that begin to thin for me. I can not say with certainty whether JK Rowling is to blame, because I do not really read the books, but I liked the first of many films, and in this moment they are all in the blur in my mind. The only thing that interests me the situation is the fact that there is a brief insight into the epic confrontation with Voldemort at the end of everything. My hope is that this sixth episode finally no longer to pedal Wacky intrigue secondary meaning to the teachers and the development of the main story arc. In this sense, it only partially.

Collection of the intense end of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the story of Harry and the Death Eaters and Voldemort increasingly strengths. Horace Slughorn Dumbledore convinced teachers to retire back to Hogwarts, but with ulterior motives: he already has a student named Tom Riddle, told a young Voldemort. Dumbledore tries to memories associated with the big V to determine how he managed to immortality. During this time, Professor Snape is the desire to help Draco Malfoy a task for the Lord of Darkness, and how Ron and Hermione ... Well, they are simply taste the joys of youth.

One of the most remarkable about this film is that more than soap into flakes and the romantic elements of opera, one of the earlier films. I suppose it must be expected, since more and more children, but it feels like the state of people in a few years' delay after casting his first, now almost twenty years. How is this kind of thing is pretty goofy and childlike. Some of them are really funny and charming, but not intentionally so, it's just funny and awkward. Half-Blood Prince finally into the heart slightly strange territory much more often than I thought it was what seems given the fact that these stories should gradually darker. But I think the biggest problem is that the relationship of theater really far too much time and offers few surprises, or the development of character.
The best thing about this episode is that the first is at 100% to Voldemort. Yes, there is another new teacher with a secret, but it is very important for the whole plot, and the true evil in order to attend at the beginning of the movie. The flash-backs to Voldemort as a young assistant convincing and strange, but there are a little too rare. In addition to a confrontation with Death Eaters in the Weasley residence there is not much at this video to the finals - and even the finale feels a little underwhelming. As I understand it is not a big battle, because (surprise), a similar battle going on in the next book. Go figure.

Every time there as a step of Harry Potter could be a little different, then returned to the input field. Beginning of the film there is an exciting sense of black magic begins to bleed, the more in the real world, as the example of a Death Eater attack on the Millennium Bridge in London. Somewhere, when I like, That is a huge disappointment for the settlement of returning to Hogwarts Quidditch games and watch the meeting through potion classes. We already know that Harry is the "chosen" ... It is really more than what they learn in school? To be fair there was not a lot of sweets or funny eccentrics, this time, but it seems that each character has to do symbolically appear, and few changes in Hogwarts itself

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by David Yates, who was also the latest film out and handling the two parts of the death and Hallows. Visually, I like his style and the cinematography by Bruno Delbonnel (Amelie, Across the Universe) makes it quite possibly the best movie of Harry Potter at this time. The performances are solid, especially the addition of Jim Broadbent plays the bumbling as Professor Slughorn and victim blame. It is difficult to criticize the film from a technical perspective, but ... They make the people so that, on the right of the screen? Then again, maybe that option if you have many avid readers, their encyclopaedic knowledge and enthusiasm for hard in the table.

It seems that every time a new Harry Potter film, is the answer to every call for the best time ... But as so often in the end be? Although I am not the only one that has the magic to wear for a certain time. Standout there are some scenes that show that the potential of this tax has, but if you have two hours for the stuffing, it is very difficult to recommend the film (for non - readers, at least). In every respect, it seems, than the final film is certainly the best, but with the decision, in two parts, we must deal with another snoozefest where nothing really happens? All I know is that the finale more worthwhile to wait to learn because it is fairly laborious damn.

Drag Me To Hell

It is still a bit hard to believe that the man who has taken the lead in the budget horror flick The Evil Dead is to support potentially the biggest blockbuster franchises of all time, but now that Sam Raimi has undoubtedly was himself a few times. He has a long way since the days of the filming of "8mm films as a child in Michigan, and yet the passion and dynamism, drive it, where it is today.

After Spider-Man 3 climbed into a huge animal, which ultimately beyond the control Raimi did not want to go back to the bulk of his next film. Drag Me To Hell will be his first horror film in more than 15 years, a bargain with a small casting for his product by his friend and collaborator Robert Tapert. But could it be in a position to revert to coarse, creativity and urgency of their first films, after so long in the big budget, or those things that are lost, in his time in Hollywood superstar?

Everyone was worried about the adoption of a new layer of Raimi will facilitate all their worries in the first minutes of the movie. We have become a curse Roma with a dramatic session was followed by a beautiful recording of loans for the full sequence of the old books and drawings at the Necronomicon from Evil Dead. From there, we reach with Christine Brown (Alison LOHMAN), a trustee for the funds in the race for promotion to the bank, which is forced to close to an old woman of the house. When the old woman capture an error and causes a scene, we quickly know she has the same curse Christine. A local fortune teller out that for three days, a demon to pursue and harass, and then it will be around in hell for eternity - unless they can break the curse first.

Although the story was definitely Drag Me To Hell shall like The Grudge (a suspicion reinforced by the fact that Raimi and Tapert Ghose House photos of the U.S. remake), it seems that there is not much influence in Asia, all here. The film is Raimi classic through and through, and it is so nice to see the style back to the screen back into the frame a bit of horror. There is no substitute for the kinetic energy and a bit cheesy, that it in your movie, but in any case it has to create the excitement and thrill over the years.

There is a feeling that Raimi is more fun anymore, it's been with us to play and a memorable scenes, such as the fight garage and house the various events. How gratifying that the film, it is also amazingly intense, and probably really frightening Raimi film until today. The use of shadows is so frightening and effective, and there is a constant feeling that something you jump at any time. The damage to music by Christopher Young, you're on the edge of your seat and never leave the place.

Alison Lohman, Nicolas Cage previously, the daughter in Matchstick Men, relies on a perfect performance here. It is soft and easy to sympathize with, but also for building up the physical requirements, with the main actor in a horror film Sam Raimi (something tells me that she and Bruce Campbell now have something more to bail). You will receive at the end of all kinds of tricks gross paid on his face, most of them seem to the practical implications. There were one or two bad beats digital effects (one of whom is apparently an homage to Looney Tunes goofy), but they are short and forgiveable. The film from PG-13 courses will be maintained, since it is not tons of blood and Gore, but there are many other raw cause discomfort.

If Drag Me To Hell is not so strange that Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, there are undoubtedly a lot of black humor in pulverized. Justin Long would have been a little odd choice for a film like this, but it works well in this minor comedy and also plays the role of friend support. The writing in this film is solid and good that the script is not 100% credible that all the spiritual values of Mumbo Jumbo in the discussion, but the main characters of depth and offers interesting secondary act play. For example, the scene where Clay Dinner Christine are the parents for the first time, is a brilliant blend of humor and excitement.

I can say that most fans of Sam Raimi will not be disappointed with Drag Me To Hell, but it is difficult to know how to react in general film freaks. It feels quite differently than many horror films, the cinemas in recent years, and the comedy, the tone suddenly some people scrub wrong. For me, that this class as one of the best films of the year until today, from planning another ideal in the summer blockbuster, and with a fine back in the form of Sam Raimi. Here's to hoping that Spider-Man 4, 5 o'clock-6 o'clock should not be kept away from the horrors of another 8 years!

The Hurt Locker

Films about the Iraq war have been known to not be successful with the public in recent years, and in most cases, this makes sense: The people go to the cinema, to which in reality are not preached, or to remember things that in other parts of the world. Films like Stop-Loss and The Lucky Ones than a political, and more than that, they deal with all the soldiers returned to their home back after serving in active service. Even though I am sure there are stories are here to say, it sounds a bit strange cutting of a soldier's life. I think I can understand why it is not more films than the modern war, set in the middle of the action, especially since it's so easy for the accused to be operating or glorifying violence. But the fact is that the war to make some incredibly dramatic and intense emotions, and veteran director Katherine Bigelow shares that this is fact. With his new film The Hurt Locker, she has the first Iraq-war film, this is really for entertainment first, and a meeting place for the movies of 2009.
Focuses on three members of the Bravo bomb disposal, follows the presentation of the arrival of Staff Sergeant William James Exercise (Jeremy Renner), an experienced, which leads to replace fallen comrades. During their first deployment, however, by the books Sergeant Sanborn (Anthony Mackie) and Eldridge naive specialist (Brian Geraghty) know that James is a bit of a wild card: fear of not yet predictable. Slowly over time they learn to trust others and to their work, but as a particularly horrible task leaves James shook the foundation for his impulsive nature finally throw their comrades in the encounter dangerous and unnecessary. The Hurt Locker is capable of both an action and excitement, which, without being pro-or anti-war because of its central characters are a group of soldiers who are in compliance with a very specialized. Its goal is to save lives, not take, even if some of the situations that they are not in the commitment to the arms. This film features scene after scene of tense, white ankle-bombing investigations, which are caught in commodities, camera bag. You feel the warmth of the sand and the pressure they are, not to mention the unbearable fear of the unknown. It is not anything to disarm the explosive device was built, but as one of the scenes, an unforgettable surprise attack by the elite shooters in the desert. During the casting includes a number of names, including recognizeable Ralph Fiennes, Guy Pearce, and Evangeline Lilly, they only play characters device that makes it possible to carry the film. There are also people like Jeremy Renner a chance to shine so far probably better known for his appearances in 28 Weeks Later and the assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford, and the short life ABC The unusual series. Here he plays a man of much faith and a little defeated, but not crazy or stupid. The scenes of the hold time between two tasks in support of the meat from these figures and to make credible. Anthony Mackie and Brian Geraghty Kontrapunkte big hit on performance, under control. It is a film that is independent enough explosions and feel like a big budget Fotostudio, but without compromising the character. Kathryn Bigelow directed Point Break and K-19: The Widowmaker (more worship Near Dark Vampire Strip), she knows how to get the audience in their seats She has no fear, to exaggerate a little fun and do not like the movie is not free of stereotypes action films, but they only season debates that without you from history. Only missteps in the whole film is an increase in the end, where the figure of Jeremy Renner decided to do something, the things in his own hands. It's a bit hard to swallow and realistic throws out the window, but fortunately it is quite short distracted, both exciting and important lead in one of the main themes of the film. With all the entertainment value, it is important that Hurt Locker is not stupid and completely empty. It is in the mentality of the soldiers, only their profession, by the survivors to another day. Her life is in the limbus and the real world is foreign to them after a certain time. It is not all wave flags, and it shows not the fingers, but it is up to you whether they are heroes or something else. The Hurt Locker is a film that is easy to recommend whole-heartedly, almost everyone, and everyone (well, maybe with the exception of the children ... It should be noted, R, after all). It is simply one of the best films of the war I have ever seen, which is somewhere between Black Hawk Down and the mini-series from HBO Generation Kill. It is a small film that deserves support, but he may be another blockbuster with this summer there purely for the adrenalin and the heart beat stress. If you have the chance to see what is happening on the big screen, leave yourself a favor and into the cold water. You will not be disappointed.

(500) Days of Summer

The term "romantic comedy" is not very good today, thanks to years of formulas, and sappy love stories Entertainment emissions produced specifically for couples, on a date. Films about but not always to the cheesy and predictable. Take first film Marc Webb (500) days in the summer, for example. It is a fun film on the decline in and out of love, the rules are not standard rom-com.

The film has a unique and life-cycle of love, jump, and it comes with time, the different phases of a relationship from their order. It is an intelligent and fascinating, and that both fantastic. Unfortunately, like the boldness of this film, it is difficult to shake the feeling that there is a different set of rules, is the restoration of the place: art house indie dramedy.

The title, (500) days in the summer, comes from the name of the girl in the film, played by Zooey Deschanel, and 500 days is the period in which they are a part of life the main character. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Tom Hansen, an architect working on an employment shit a greeting card company is very pleased with the new interns, was Finn. After some clumsy attempts to capture her finally win more and have a Jacuzzi for romance. A long time ago, but the changing of the tides, and the summer begins to me to wonder if Tom is really the right man for her, from where Tom spiral into depression.

(500) days of summer reminds both Eternal Sunshine Spotless Mind and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, where he dissects the development of a relationship (albeit on a shorter duration). In this case, however, there is no science fiction in order to facilitate the movement through time. It is a story submitted for the good of the listener with an omniscient narrator them through it. The story itself seems to create a kind of fable, the short and neat, but it can also be emotional, that we are at the end of the arms. Although the constant to jump through time seems to be a good idea might be, I do not know that it really used their potential here. For the majority of snapshots appear randomly, and not always very well connected with each other.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of my favorite and future actors working today, and during his next appearance of integration in GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra obviously misinformed, it is a great role for him and another strong performance. There is surf on the line between comedy and drama, very good, and in some points on the hyper-reality of his role in 10 Things I Hate About You. Zooey Deschanel is so attractive as never before, and moved, but the problem is that she has played this ditzy girl a little too often lately (Gigantisch, Weeds, The Happening). His character is never really all that meat, but I suppose that since the film from the perspective of Tom, it was decided, its mystery.

Scenes in this film stood out as bright as Joseph Gordon-Levitt sequence dancing and singing, after the first night together, black and white film art and the dream sequence, and use of a screen contrast "expectations" with the "reality ". Marc Webb has a name for himself as director of music video, and with the help of the beautiful photo of Eric Berg Steel (Juno), each of which would have awesome short films on their own initiative. Strange, I was just looking for Woody Allen Annie Hall, for the first time a week ago, I saw that, and there must be a source of inspiration for a few moments surrealists.

Now there is something in this film a little merit a minor rant. Can you tell us please, please, PLEASE have a moratorium on the release dramedies indie bands for a certain time? Hey, I have nothing against it, The Smiths, and they seem to vary according to the tone of the movie is good, but the scene in the elevator and the referencing of the band just felt so artificial. That does not mean that people are not based on common interests, but between that and Jo-Go Levitt karaoke sing The Pixies and the discussion on their favorite of the Beatles, it's really Diablo Cody area here. And yes, I have noticed that Zooey Deschanel in a group itself, but when Tom and summer were less than a lover of music from the beginning, it would not appear even superficially and space. I am all for good music in the films, but not so pointed out to be.

At the end, although I do not believe that all was particularly innovative, I have to assess a large number of bits and pieces of the (500) days of summer. It is not necessarily funny, and it is not really a Tearjerker, but it is nice, pleasant, and certainly deserves to be seen - especially if you are in the summer blockbuster blues. It is a solid start Marc Webb, and even if they do not fall under the category of unfortunate "romantic comedy", a film, it's very much about your expectations in this category.
